The hotel caters primarily to families, which can be overwhelming for couples or solo travelers seeking a quieter atmosphere. Breakfast options lack variety, consistently offering few selections, primarily just eggs. The facilities show signs of age, needing a makeover to enhance the overall experience. Wi-Fi connectivity is inconsistent, not suitable for those needing reliable access. Reception hours are limited, closing at 22:00, an odd choice for a large resort. Mosquitoes are prevalent, so be prepared with repellents.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Southern Lanta Resort. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring I felt welcome at all times. I particularly loved the beautiful beach, perfect for relaxing walks, and the breakfast offered a wonderful variety of options to start my day on a delightful note.

initially thought I’d be pleased—but who knew bites from the mosquitos woudl ve been part of the experience! also, having to pay for ANY breakages, even accidental, is simply ridiculous. I can't believe I didn’t get an upgraded room after all the inconveniences. just couldn’t bring myself to give a good review.

Had a cracking time here, loved the massive family villa, so clean and spacious! Staff were pure brilliant and welcoming. Only downside was the breakfast could have had a better selection of fresh juices. a braw stay!

Perfect spot for chillin'

We had a fab time! The pool was usually buzzing, and the staff were super friendly. Food was solid, especially the breakfast, which even had poached eggs down! Only thing was, there's no hot water in the bathroom sink, just the shower. That was kinda annoying but didn't ruin our stay.

The spacious family villa was impeccably clean and offered a comfortable setting for relaxation. The on-site restaurant also provided a variety of delightful breakfast options.

It was just a perfect match for an overnight stop in Koh Lanta with definitely value for money. The beach view from the restaurant during lunch was a nice touch. Get to the pool early to grab a sun lounger before they're all taken.

Family-focused atmosphere

The beach is just a short walk away, and there are loads of activities like snorkeling and kayaking that kept our 7 kids entertained. The staff were exceptionally warm and helpful. A special shoutout to how clean the bungalows were, making our stay a delight!

My wife wishes there were more breakfast options for the kids.
